I’m super excited to bring you something new here on the blog today! Have you heard of subscription boxes? They are all the rage now with all different groups of people (gamers, makeup wearers, dog owners, etc), but especially with book lovers! There are lots of boxes out there and today I’m featuring a newcomer that you might be interested in purchasing.

Subscription boxes make excellent presents for the book lovers in your life, even for yourself! If there’s anything better than mail, it’s bookmail! One of the great things about subscription boxes is the element of surprise. While you may know one item that’s included, or a general theme, the exact occupants of your box are a secret! I love surprises, especially of the bookish variety. The other good thing about subscription boxes is the options when it comes to purchasing. You can only buy one month’s box if you wish, but you can also subscribe for a set amount of boxes and end up saving some money too! I love having options.

The box I’m going to talk about today is the My World of Books Box, named after the creator’s book blog of the same name. I was really honored to be included in the small amount of sample boxes sent out for people to review. Nothing could prepare me for the work of art that arrived on my doorstep! Just look at that gorgeous box! It is the most lovely subscription box exterior I have ever seen! Of course the real fun is on the inside, so here’s your sneak peek at the June box.
According to the website, My World Of Books, this is what each box will include:

1 Book Fantasy Genre
3-4 Book Accessories
1 My World of Books Bookmark
Up & Coming Fantasy Book Info
Unique Author Swag on Upcoming Fantasy Books
Info Card on Book Included
My Personal Touch

The first book included in my box is Ruby Red by Kerstin Geir. I’ve heard lots of good things about this book and it sounds really good! I can’t wait to start reading! Not pictured, but also included in this box is an ARC (advanced reader copy) of And I Darken by Kiersten White. Words cannot express how excited I am to read this book! It is one of my most anticipated releases of 2016 and I am so stunned that an ARC was included in this box!! I can’t wait to dig in to this beauty!

Now let me tell you about the cute extras included in the box. The Harry Potter decal caught my eye first. I’m a huge HP fan, as are most of the lovely bookish people I know. I’ve already placed this gem on my laptop. It’s the first of (hopefully) many bookish things that will one day adorn everything in my home! The decal is of good quality and hasn’t started lifting off my laptop yet, I’m really satisfied with it! The next thing I noticed was the super cool Harry Potter tattoos. Who doesn’t love temporary tattoos?! Unfortunately my kids love them, and Harry Potter, so they are currently rocking my tattoos. I was a little selfish and reserved the Deathly Hallows symbol for myself! Next up are coloring bookmarks. Coloring books are all the rage now too, and I thought it was so cool that coloring book marks are included! Now I can color them, cut them out, and use them while I read Ruby Red and And I Darken! I gushed earlier about how pretty this box is and I love that I also got a My World of Books bookmark; it has a lovely design on it too! You’ll find lots of author swag included, a list of some important upcoming fantasy releases, and my favorite part, a list of the shops where the bookish extras came from. This is super cool because if I love something I definitely want to buy more!

I was very happy to see everything arrive undamaged and looking nice! Mail can be so unpredictable these days and the packing was done exceptionally well on this box, short of being in a flood, everything was locked up tight so there wouldn’t be bent bookmarks or creased pages. I really love the fact that so much thought and time was put into not just selecting these goodies, but packaging well. I would definitely recommend heading to the website and subscribing to this box!
